Capture dirt and sediment at construction sites and other “high erosion” areas! Storm drains on or around construction sites are susceptible to large quantities of dirt and sand. In those circumstances, a higher capacity catch basin insert may be the better solution. While it won't capture hydrocarbons like many of the other Ultra-Drain Guards, the Reusable Model is capable of containing up to five hundred (500) pounds of silt, soil, and dirt so you can spend less time emptying out your catch basin inserts and more time working on construction.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Certain Items will Carry restocking fees for us to take back into our stock, This is due to items being made to order or for being an oversized item.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Why would I choose the Reusable Drain Guard over another model?
Because of its extraordinary capacity (up to 500 lbs), the Reusable Drain Guard is an excellent choice where the potential for sediment, sand, soil, and dirt is great and there is little or no concern for capturing hydrocarbons. For this reason, the Reusable Drain Guard is often used on construction sites.
Five hundred pounds is a lot of weight. Will the grate be able to hold the Drain Guard in place with that kind of load?
This will be dependent from catch basin to catch basin depending on the design, weight, and size of the grate, the fit of the grate and other factors. However, it can and has been done. For added security, rebar can be inserted into the removal flap pockets and left in place (these will be necessary during removal of the Drain Guard).
What is the flow rate for this Drain Guard?
When new, the flow rate for the Reusable Drain Guard is 695 gals/min/ft².
How am I supposed to remove the Reusable Drain Guard when it is full?
Once rebar has been inserted into the removal flap pockets, the unit can either be removed by hand (at least two people) or, for larger loads, a backhoe, forklift or other equipment should be used.
Why doesn't this catch basin insert absorb oil and other hydrocarbons like your other Drain Guards?
In order to be able to contain very large amounts of sand, silt, and sediment, it is necessary to use a polypropylene material to make the Reusable Model Drain Guard. While this is obviously a very strong, durable and heavy-duty material it does not have the oil-absorbing capabilities of the geotextile material that is used for most of our other Drain Guard models.
